Tom Power is a solo singer, guitarist and entertainer who resides in the Palm Springs area. His specialty is classic Rock n’ Roll, R&B, easy-listening and country music from the 1950s to present. He has been a successful solo performer for the past 24 years, and also as a member of several bands including “You Got Lucky,” – a Tom Petty tribute band that performs in Las Vegas each summer. 

 

Over the years, Tom has played many venues within the United States, Canada and Japan. Locally, he has performed at The Buffalo Inn (Upland, 22 years), The Buckhorn Restaurant (Mt. Baldy, 11 years), The Cask & Cleaver (Rancho Cucamonga, 24 years), and is currently playing at the Lavender Bistro in La Quinta Thursdays through Sundays. His lengthy tenure at several restaurants/bars is a testament to his talent and his innate affability and stage presence.

 

He is a natural charismatic crowd-pleaser. Tom engages a crowd with his soulful vocals and seasoned guitar playing. He injects subtle humor in his sets to include and integrate the audience into his act. This leaves the audience feeling comfortable and ‘part of the act’, thus inspiring their return time and time again.

 

His forte is performing “unplugged” versions of songs, but he also offers a "full-band" sound with backing tracks for a bigger sound. This added technology makes for great dance mixes, giving him the flexibility for all music venues and musical palates. His song list is extensive and includes over 500 tunes, allowing him to fulfill requests from audience members of diverse ages and musical tastes.

 

Tom offers the entertainment value of a duo or trio without the cost. He can work in any venue (stick him anywhere – he dares you!). Being a soloist, he is self-sufficient and provides his own top-of-the-line P.A. equipment that is compact and non-intrusive. His set up is lean and takes less than 10 minutes to assemble. He is loud enough to be heard by patrons, but not so loud that those customers can’t hear themselves talk. Tom has been in this business long enough to know that it does nobody any good to have a wonderfully talented musician performing when the server can’t even hear a customer’s drink order!  

 

Tom is ideal for intimate settings where he can provide a relaxing but memorable ambience.
